Senior Project Poster

This is my poster for my Capstone presentation. I think it's fairly simple. However, it shows how serious this subject is. Current waiting times in the ER put many people's lives at risk.

PSA About Capstone

Briefly, my PSA describes the causes and effects of waiting times in the ER. Mostly this is due to the constant lack of supplies and staff to keep the ER working efficiently. Many people lose their lives in the ER, or some just simply get fed up and go home, leaving their condition untreated. Equipping hospitals with the necessary tools will definitely help reduce the waiting times. Also, my end product, which is a machine that takes vital signs and registers patients, can help reduce the waiting times as well.

Capstone Looks and Feels

Since reducing waiting times in the emergency room is generally a serious topic, it is important to create a look and a feel that reflects in that manner. Since it is related to a hospital setting, using pictures that use the colors red and white that represent the typical hospital cross can help viewers associate the severity of the situation with the area it is, for the most part,  associated with. As for fonts, using Sans Serif fonts will help the presentation have a nice, clean, yet serious feel.

Capstone Idea:  Reducing Wait Times in the Emergency Room
The ultimate goal of reducing waiting times in the emergency room is to save patients a lot of time. Whether they have a small injury or a fatal injury, every patient is important. It is important to care because it is crazy how many individuals lose their lives yearly in the waiting room. It is also ridiculous how long some waiting times can be.  
Healthier patients = more people to give back to the community. This means everything needs to be done quickly and efficiently, which is the direct objective of this project. 
For the future, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field. Reducing waiting times in the ER is relevant to my career options in the medical field because it is the duty of the medical staff to care for patients in the best way possible.
